Managed Account Pool (MAP)

Managed Accounts Pools (MAPs) are unique asset class pools specifically designed for Separately Managed Account (SMA) strategies. They are registered investment companies available only in conjunction with Federated Hermes SMAs. All fees are charged at the managed account level, so the MAPs have zero advisory fees and reimburse all ordinary operating expenses (excluding those of any other funds in which the MAPs invest, if applicable). The implementation of MAPs can be at the discretion of the financial professional.

DISCLOSURES

Investment strategies described on this site are not necessarily available through every sponsor program. Please check with your Federated Hermes representative or your home office to ascertain accessibility.

There are no guarantees that dividend-paying stocks will continue to pay dividends. In addition, dividend-paying stocks may not experience the same capital appreciation potential as non-dividend-paying stocks.

International investing involves special risks including currency risk, increased volatility, political risks, and differences in auditing and other financial standards.

Investing in equities is speculative and involves substantial risk.

Prices of emerging markets securities can be significantly more volatile than the prices of securities in developed countries and currency risk and political risks are accentuated in emerging markets.

Price-to-earnings ratio (P/E): A ratio comparing the company’s current share price, as compared to its earnings-per-share, for the last twelve months (LTM), or estimated for the next 12 months (NTM), current fiscal year (FY1), or next (forward) fiscal year.

Price/book value ratio: A ratio used to compare a stock’s market value to its book value. It is calculated by dividing the current closing price of the stock by the latest quarter’s book value per share.

Price/cash flow ratio: A stock valuation measure calculated by dividing a firm’s cash flow per share into the current stock price.

Beta: A measure of the volatility, or systematic risk, of a security or a portfolio, in comparison to the market as a whole.

Standard deviation: The square root of the variance. A measure of dispersion of a set of data from its mean.

For a detailed discussion of Managed Account strategies or to receive additional information, please Contact Us.

Beta is calculated using the weighted average of the betas of the portfolio’s underlying stocks. Each stock’s beta is derived from 60 months of data using country of risk to determine the appropriate market return.

Managed Account Pools (MAPs) are unique mutual fund pools of securities specially designed to provide diversification to separately managed accounts. Because these pools are highly liquid, they enhance the ability of separately managed account portfolios to quickly and efficiently respond to changing market conditions.

Unlike the typical mutual fund, each MAP has "zero" advisory fees. MAPs are available only in conjunction with Federated Hermes Separately Managed Accounts.
